Yes, I've managed to find work in areas experiencing economic crises.

Advice to anyone in the position:

- Keep Positive

- Upgrade your education

- Downgrade your expectations

- Network-with everyone

- Save for a rainy day

- Be willing to accept work outside your field or area of expertise

- Be willing to accept a salary or wage cut

- Do what you can to keep a cash flow coming in and prevent gaps on your resume, even if that includes taking up temporary or low-wage work or physical labour. It shows determination.

- For you, in particular, get your license or relocate to an area more accessible through public transit.
References :
Has anyone found a job during the recession? If so, what tips do you have for discouraged job seekers?
I feel very discouraged about the job market because I have yet to find a permanent full-time job; I only landed temporary jobs. I also feel frustrated because I don't have a driver's license or car (which is required for many jobs and management positions) and I have a degree in Management, so I feel like I am at a disadvantage when it comes to management-related positions. I need advice right now because this recession is very discouraging.
