Article Marketing is Useless for SEO?

I think it depends on *how* you are doing article marketing and for what purpose. If you can embed appropriate links, it won’t be useless for SEO. If you can link properly, it will help you but it is a larger time sink than other linking strategies.

In some cases, if your author bio links to your site and you become a subject matter expert in a topic, eventually that will help your web traffic and your SEO efforts.

Also, if you get any clicks through, the traffic will support your SEO strategy.

I consider this to be just one of the potential ingredients in an SEO recipe for a website.

I don’t feel like article marketing is usless for SEO as long as you are submitting your articles to legit websites to link to. A few really popular places that are great for articles are digg.com and squidoo.com.

I have recently signed up with squidoo and have been working on SEO for Blind Acre Media, a graphic design and website design company. It is a great place to build information!

Hey,

I use a heap of article marketing and it works well. You need a set plan though. Try releaseing one new article thats unique to a site like ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com for 10 days straight and you should get results.

Web 2.0 and bookmarking can also be a good help.

Article marketing still produces results from unique articles rather from mass article distribution to article directories.

Are you kidding? Absolutely not.

In fact article marketing is the best form of SEO you can do.

Why? Well, if by using article marketing you are distributing quality and informative content, you are doing exactly what Google wants. The byproduct of a good article? A good backlink.

What’s the most important thing when it comes to SEO? Backlinks. Backlinks from authoritative sites. Think sites with high-traffic and low spam.

My favorites are sites like HubPages, Zimbio, WetPaint and more. You can create blogs on these sites, post your article on there, and use anchor text to link back to your site.
